A Sober Companion?
A sober companion is someone who confidentially guides someone in their new path of recovery. Our goal is to help to maintain sobriety and focus on setting goals towards a better future for you.
Sober companions engage with individuals in their home environment to achieve these goals. We typically live in the home of the person receiving help. This can be done for any period of time ranging from two weeks to a year, depending on the circumstances and the individuals’ needs.
What Our Sober Companions Do?
Our sober companions are very flexible people. Our hand-picked staff all have multiple years of sobriety under their belts. They truly understand what it is like to be completely powerless over alcohol and drugs. All our staff have been trained in the field to know and understand relapse patterns and behaviors.
They also will guide you or your loved one in the right direction when it comes to recovery. Our sober companions aim to set achievable goals and set up a healthy environment that is conducive to recovery. We are here for you in your time of need, and we also understand how crucial it is to have accountability throughout the day.
The daily struggle of early recovery is very real. We are here to get you through these tough times and help you build a solid foundation that you can one day stand on alone.
What We Offer As A Sober Companion
Living In Recovery
- Prepare living space and make sure home environment is free from drugs and alcohol
- 24/7 or partial live-in accountability
- Redirect negative behavior that is not conducive to recovery
Teaching Recovery
- Encourage regular sleep habits to assist in daily sober living.
- Incorporate & teach about healthy eating habits
- Encourage fitness and wellness routines
- Help develop daily practices that will help prevent relapse
Communication
- Help develop a network of positive people who will support recovery

Our companions will supply any extra resources needed along with the 24/7 support for families. Healing the family from the inside is one of the main objectives of our services and we make it our goal to make this happen.
The Family Aspect
You may have heard it before, that addiction is a family disease. An addict is like a storm barreling through life, tearing apart their friends and loved ones in the process. Sometimes families have even torn completely apart almost beyond repair. Although addiction is a family disease, that does not mean the family cannot heal.
Families are extremely important when it comes to the recovery process. Our goal is to help mend these torn relationships with the help of our companions. All our companions have been there before. We get the pain you are feeling right now. Maybe your son or daughter seems completely hopeless or lost.
They might even have done some unspeakable things as well. As much as you, the parent, might not think that anyone else could possibly act the way they are acting, that simply is not true. These are all very common actions and behaviors in active addiction.
